Three years ago I stopped my daily photography walks. I was seeing that my photography was becoming rather cliché. I didn’t want any part of that so I stopped my daily walks. That decision has been very detrimental to my health. I’ve gained 30 pounds and I find that I get myself easily winded just taking a leisurely stroll. I took this picture of this old man in Monterrey Mexico today. It’s rather cliché but it has reinvigorated my desire to get back on the streets so I don’t end up hunched over like him.

I spotted a working Pro Photojournalist getting creative. He was shooting Apple’s iUprise with reflection shots.
Update: Six degrees of separation. Through a chance encounter browsing Photographer David Turnley’s FB page, I was able to identify this shooter as Getty Images photographer Justin Sullivan.

Road Block

This weekend Indianapolis is hosting the Men’s NCAA Final Four Basketball Tournament. The city is crawling with thousands of visitors. It’s not everyday that our downtown resembles Manhattan’s Fifth Ave. It’s a street photographers wet dream. I’m less than ten minutes from the action. Yesterday, I made it as far as the end of the neighborhood before returning home. I just was not not feeling it. I’m probably suffering the equivalent of writer’s block. I’ll give it another go today. F**k!
